A rather handsome bottle from the folks at Woven Whisky based in Leith, who take pride in their creative and experimental approach to the art of whisky blending. Focusing on the pure quality of the liquid, they judge all samples equally, selecting the perfect components for their blend, rather than focusing on age, or provenance. Experience No. 10 is intended to remind us of burning the midnight oil, in good company, with good conversation. If you could bottle up those good times as a whisky, this would be them apparently! This blend includes the likes of very old grain whisky from the North British Distillery, peated Knockando, an array of Highland grains, and sherried Glentauchers single malt. With a waxy, resinous character, gentle smoke, and liquorice notes, we can certainly imagine lighting some candles or a bonfire and getting stuck into a bottle of this.

Nose: A resinous and fragrant expression reminiscent of conversation-rich dark evenings that unravel into the night, ending nowhere in particular. N.10 is Complex and comforting.

Palate: Liquorice, soft smoke and beeswax notes combine on before giving way to more subtle tannins and fruit.

Finish: An atmospheric blend with a captivating finish.
