Description
Whiskey: Caperdonich 1968 12 Year Old Connoisseurs Choice Speyside Single Malt Scotch
An incredibly rare independent bottling of Caperdonich from the distillery`s hey day in the late 1960s. The distillery has sadly since been demolished and never released an official bottling in its lifetime – a rare chance to taste of a Speysider from a bygone age.

Arguably the most famous independent bottler of Scotch whisky there is. Gordon & MacPhail was founded in Elgin in 1895 by James Gordon and John Alexander MacPhail. It is now owned by the Urquhart Family who have bow bottled over 350 different expressions from around 69 different distilleries. Gordon & MacPhail is the Trading name of Speymalt Whiskies while also owning the Benromach distillery, which they purchased in 1993. Some of the brands include Connoisseurs Choice, Cask Strength, Rare Old and Speymalt. This now closed distillery produced / distilled this single malt in 1968. It was bottled 12 years later by Gordon and Macphail as part of their original connoisseurs choice range.
