Robert Mondavi Private Selection was founded in 1994 by Robert Mondavi to capture the delicious flavors from California’s best coastal vineyards. They exude the fresh fruit character and bright acidity that can only come from a wine by the influence of the Pacific Ocean. This merlot has flavors of rich cherry, ripe plum, milk chocolate and roasted coffee. It has aromas of ripe red cherry, Asian plum and cranberry with hints of black olive, tea leaf, baking spice and sweet oak.
