Wyrd Barrel Aged Gin – Port | 500ML Tasting Notes

Nose: Dry, freshly cut pine sweetened by vanilla oak and a grape-like jamminess.

Palate: Woody spice and vibrant juniper are joined by anise and a hint of marmalade, while elegant notes of vinous jammy red fruits and tannic oak linger.

Finish: Elegant dery pine fruit bowl finish.

Distillery Information

Mark and Kay are the creators of Wyrd Gin and make each batch by hand with care and passion. Their journey started over 20 years ago during a trip to the Oban Distillery on one of their first holidays together. Clearly inspired by the experience, Mark declared ‘One day we should do something like this!’ The dream lay dormant for a number of years while they both pursued their careers, but it finally became a reality in 2018 when the right time came to set up their own distillery in the New Forest. Not quite on the same scale as Oban just yet, but they are still rather proud of the gin they have created. With the help of old friends and new, offering advice and expertise, Wyrd Gin was launched and they can’t wait to share their handcrafted spirit with the gin lovers of the world.
