Distillery Information
The distillerie Metté was founded by Jean-Paul Metté in 1960. He settled in Ribeauvillé, in the heart of the Alsatian vineyard. Quickly he excels in the art of distilling and adds to his traditional range some unique creations. In 1985, Jean-Paul is joined by Philippe Traber, his godson, whom he carefully introduces to the art and secrets of distilling. Philippe becomes the master-distiller and starts distilling new spirits including ginger or sichuan pepper. After Jean-Paul’s retirement in 1997, Philippe and his wife Nathalie took over and have since been perpetuating the tradition and philosophy of the house Metté. Today it is no less than 120 different high quality spirits that the Distillerie Metté offers. One of the widest and most unique available range in the world.
